DEVIL'S IN THE DETAIL

MURRAYFIELD has incited feelings of love and hate in many Ireland players but times and attitudes have changed under Andy Farrell.

In his first Six Nations in 2013, Devin Toner came off the bench as Ireland lost 12-8 in Ronan O'Gara's last Test game.

Two years later, Paul O'Connell lifted the Six Nations trophy there after a barmy Super Saturday.

And, in 2017, Joe Schmidt was livid as Ireland's bus was forced to take a diversion by Scottish police and his team were 15 minutes late, the ripple effect leading to the Scots' most recent victory over their Celtic rivals.

"What do I remember of that? Was that one that they had the bagpiper walking in front of the bus as we were going in," said Devin Toner.

"We were just, get the f***er out of the way and drive by him. He was just walking and we were crawling behind him. It was a tactic, I don't know.
