World Cup winner Mac Allister's addicted to trophies and backs Reds to give him his fix

ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER says his World Cup final triumph has aroused a fierce appetite for trophies – and revealed he signed for Liverpool to satisfy that burning hunger.

The Argentina star has completed his move from Brighton for £45million – with some additional target-related payments – on a five-year deal.

And Reds boss Jurgen Klopp revealed it is Mac Allister’s drive and desire to learn and improve which influenced the decision to sign him, with the player having to fight from obscurity to become a World Cup winner.

And the midfielder admitted that joining Liverpool was a natural move, after he tasted the ultimate success in Qatar last December.

“Since I won the World Cup, I said that I want to win more trophies,” explained Mac Allister.
