Sir Elton's night in hospital after fall at his French villa

SIR Elton John was rushed to hospital in France after taking a tumble at his home in Nice. 

The 76-year-old, who has just finished an epic five-year tour, was kept in overnight and discharged yesterday.

He is thought to have sustained minor injuries including bruising but is expected to make a full recovery.

Sources revealed the pop legend, who has two young sons with his husband David Furnish, was given a precautionary brain and lumbar scan.

Both took place at the private Princess Grace hospital on Sunday evening, with neither revealing any serious damage.
