Once again fans made it a week to remember

THE dust has settled on an unbelievable week at The K Club for the Horizon Irish Open.

Vincent Norrman is our new champion and it is surely the start of what will be a very fruitful career.

He is a close friend of Ludwig Aberg and the beginning perhaps of another wave of Swedish talent.

Henrik Stenson has been the poster boy for the sport in that country but these two are the next generation.

Aberg, of course, will feature in the Ryder Cup while Norrman has now won on both sides of the Atlantic this year and that is superstar potential.

The week was drenched in sunshine and the North course was presented in all its glory on the world stage.

The home charge was strong and Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry gave the home fans so much hope throughout.
