LOUIS Walsh wants Ireland to get back to the basics for Eurovision, declaring: "It's not rocket science."

Hopefuls Wild Youth crashed out of this year's contest in the first semi-final on Tuesday meaning we haven't made the finals for five years running.

Former Song for Europe judge Louis told the Sunday Mirror: "We just need a great song and a great performance.

"It's not rocket science really.

Everything can change with one good song.

Sweden were hot favourites to win last night's final in Liverpool, which would see them match Ireland's record of seven wins.
