THE 'bomb squad' swooped on a street and residents were evacuated from their homes after weapons were found at a house.
Police and firefighters were also in attendance on Ashfield Road in Rochdale yesterday evening.
It's understood the evacuation follows the discovery of Second World War-era weapons, including rifles and grenades.
The discovery was made as police responded to concerns for the welfare of a resident on the street.
A cordon was also in place on nearby Osbourne Street.
