The £365m venue was originally due to open in April but has been hit with a number of setbacks due to 'technical issues' and ongoing building work.
Yesterday, bosses at the UK's largest indoor entertainment venue said that they are 'thrilled' to be gearing up to open their doors on May 14 with Bury band Elbow and to 'proceed with all scheduled events! Their statement added that they are 'disappointed to have delayed the May opening' and 'frustrated' so many in the process.
Earlier this week, the venue announced it will host a Travis Scott gig in July but, as of yet, the 23,500 capacity arena has yet to open. It was originally slated to open on April 23 with Bolton comedian Peter Kay but has been delayed three times over the last few weeks.
