A new motion which will be debated by Manchester council today seeks to outlaw adverts for hybrid cars, cars powered by fossil fuels, airlines, airports, flights, and fossil fuels 'at the very least!
The proposed ban would apply to 24 large billboards and 86 smaller ad spaces owned by the council.
It's being spearheaded by Coun Anastasia Wiest, a Green Party politician. Coun Wiest, who represents the Woodhouse Park ward which covers Manchester Airport, said the move would help promote other green projects the council has invested in.
