Drunk dad bit cop and told border officer: I'll punch your head in

A DRUNK father-of-three hurled vile abuse at an air stewardess who refused to serve him more alcohol on a flight – then bit a police officer’s arm after he was arrested, a court heard.

Mohammed Riaz, 42, also used foul language and threatening behaviour around families and children after he was led off a flight by police 18 months later in a separate incident at Manchester Airport, telling a Border Force officer: “I will punch your f***ing head in.”

Riaz, who has 19 previous convictions to his name arising from 30 offences, has now been jailed by a judge who hit out at his ‘highly abusive behaviour’.

The air stewardess, the court heard, was reduced to tears and was still crying due to Riaz’s behaviour when police boarded the flight. He was flying from Marrakech to Liverpool John Lennon Airport on July 15, 2019, Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court was told.

Mark Pritchard, prosecuting, said: “The defendant was deemed to be intoxicated by a member of cabin crew who refused to serve him any more alcohol. In response, the defendant became verbally abusive.”
