IT was the news nobody ever wants to receive.

On the morning of November 15, 2022, Darren Brooks went to the gym with his newly-married wife, Sarah, before heading to work.

But it wasn't long before Sarah's life was turned upside down.

Sarah, 37, got the dreaded call from police to say that, after 30 minutes of CPR, there was nothing that they could do to save her husband.

And now, a group of 12 fundraisers have raised more than £2,500 for the British Heart Foundation by jumping out of a helicopter for the 'Brooks 500.'

The fundraiser was in honour of Darren, from Oldham, who tragically died aged 41 after suffering a medical episode on his way to work.

Sarah has spoken about the moment she received the call.
