Gunman was 'enlisted' in trainers row, trial jury told

A MAN has gone on trial accused of 'enlisting' a gunman who shot dead a man amid an alleged 'row about trainers!

Emmanuel Onasanya, 33, admits he drove to the scene, but a jury heard he says he had 'no idea' the shooter had a gun.

Zikel Bobmanuel, 31, was killed when the gunman, Rumaal Ingram, opened fire on Welland Street in Openshaw, east Manchester, on March 25 last year, a jury was told.

Opening the prosecution at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court, Gordon Cole KC told jurors the circumstances of the case were 'to a degree unusual, explaining that the man who had the gun was Mr Ingram, who the barrister said had previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
