VERNON Kay received a ‘hero’s welcome’ on Saturday night as he hosted his first fundraiser since completing his epic charity marathon challenge.
The TV presenter, 49, has spent most of the week taking part in a ‘ULTRA Ultramarathon’ for Children in Need where he ventured 115 miles on foot from Victoria Park in Leicester to Bolton. Vernon arrived to huge cheers as he completed the challenge at the Bolton Wanderers stadium on Friday morning.
But not content with putting his feet up, Vernon returned to the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, where he had started his final journey to Bolton on Friday morning, to host the Football For Change gala.
