A SEMI-PRO footballer has told how his life was ruined by a knifeman who stabbed him more than 30 times in a random attack.
On June 19 last year, Patrick Kubacak was making his usual journey home from work.
The part-time model, part-time semi-pro footballer was also working as a sales assistant, trying to get as much money together as possible for the arrival of his baby boy.
He left work at 5pm and called his fiancee, Jade, who was 20 weeks pregnant, as he walked toward an alley between Kingsway Park and Skye Road in Urmston.
Michael Canning, clad in a high-vis jacket, black hoodie with a Nike rucksack grabbed Patrick in a chokehold and stabbed him repeatedly with a large kitchen knife.
