A MAN wrongly imprisoned for 17 years says he still hasn't received a penny of compensation, months after being exonerated.
Andrew Malkinson was wrongly jailed after being falsely accused of rape following a violent attack on a woman by the M61 motorway in Little Hulton in July 2003.
The following year he was found guilty during a trial at Manchester Crown Court, despite no DNA evidence linking him to the crime.
Mr Malkinson always maintained his innocence.
He was finally cleared in July this year after an appeal to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), an organisation which had twice previously refused to pursue his case.
