A MURDERER was viciously attacked 90 minutes after he stabbed a man to death as his victim's friends and family sought revenge, a trial has heard.
Anthony George killed 25-year old Tyrone Williamson in Bolton after knifing him repeatedly, a jury at Manchester Crown Court was told.
Just over 90 minutes later six men went looking for George, 42, before he was viciously attacked and left seriously injured, prosecutors allege.
George was stabbed five times and spent three weeks in hospital.
Nathan Carney-Williamson, 30, his brother, Brendan Carney, 27, Roy Meanley, 29, and Thomas Lynch, 36, have all pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Two other men have admitted the same offence.
