LABOUR is set to win an historic victory in the 2024 general election with Sir Keir Starmer poised to become the next prime minister, ending 14 years of Tory rule.
Exit polls predict Labour has won 410 seats.
The Conservatives are on course for a crushing defeat with Rishi Sunak's party expected to lose hundreds of MPs - including some senior Tory politicians in what is set to be the worst result in its nearly 200-year history.
This would give Labour a majority of 170. The Conservatives are expected to win just 131 seats, with the exit polls putting the Lib Dems on 61 and Reform UK on 13.
It comes just four-and-a-half years after Boris Johnson led the Conservatives to victory at the last general election when the party won 365 seats, including many in Labour's northern heartlands.
