MANCHESTER went home empty-handed at this year’s Michelin Awards.
The ceremony, where British restaurants are awarded its coveted stars took place at The Midland Hotel in the city centre.
Chef Simon Martin’s Mana didn’t secure a second star and Stockport’s Where The Light Gets in was sadly overlooked for a first – despite being awarded a ‘green’ star for sustainability in 2021.
In December it was announced that Manchester would be the host city for the food bible’s prestigious awards, leading many to speculate that 2024 would be the year that we would pick up another star.
