LEIGH coach Adrian Lam called his side's 10-2 win over Catalans Dragons their most important of the season after a hard-fought battle in Perpignan.
Tom Amone scored the only try with Matt Moylan kicking three goals, while Arthur Mourgue slotted a single penalty for the Dragons.
"We had a tough start to the season but we're working hard to turn it around and results like this show that we can match anyone," said Lam.
"This was the biggest game of the season for us and we delivered." It was a scrappy opening quarter but Dragons full-back Mourgue got the scoreboard ticking before Moylan responded.
