'My Libbie could have died in brutal gang attack'

Footage sent to the M.E.N. shows Libbie, who has autism, ADHD and is partially-sighted, being repeatedly kicked, punched and stamped on during the ambush on Ashton Road in Denton, just outside the Crownpoint retail park.

The attack appeared to have been carried out by at least one other school pupil, as other children shouted 'go on' and filmed with their phones. Greater Manchester Police have confirmed they were called to the incident at around 3.45pm on Wednesday, January 24, and an investigation is now underway.

Libbie's mum Chantelle claims the repeated blows left her daughter with a broken nose, as well as two black eyes, an injury to her back and a number of cuts and bruises.

Chantelle believes her daughter 'could have died' following the attack and described how watching the clip of it, which was shared to Snapchat, made her 'physically sick! She told the M.E.N. it happened after she had agreed to Libbie meeting up with her friend at McDonald's at Crownpoint after attending school at Denton Community College.
