THE brother of a millionaire heiress, who a judge ruled was unlawfully killed by her husband, has warned that "very dangerous" Donald McPherson could be living in Australia or New Zealand.
Paula Leeson, 47, from Sale in Trafford, drowned in a pool at a remote holiday cottage in Denmark in 2017 a trip booked by McPherson.
'Serial liar' McPherson, 51, was tried for murder in 2021 but a jury was directed by the judge to find him not guilty.
The judge ruled that despite circumstantial evidence, a jury could not be sure to the criminal standard beyond reasonable doubt that he had killed her.
It previously emerged that McPherson, labelled in court as a "man of straw", had taken out multiple secret life insurance policies on his wife before her death, worth £3.5million alone.
Following the conclusion of the criminal case, the Leeson family launched a civil claim against him to prevent him from benefiting financially from his wife's death.
Last Friday, at Manchester's Civil Justice Centre, a judge ruled McPherson who did not attend the hearings had unlawfully killed Ms Leeson, blocking his access to her £4.4m estate.
