The Blues will play a Champions League quarter-final second leg on a Wednesday night, followed by a Saturday FA Cup semi-final at Wembley for the fourth season in a row, leaving Guardiola furious with the scheduling when the three other semi-finalists have a midweek without a game.
This time City play Real Madrid at the Etihad on Wednesday, April 17, before facing Chelsea at Wembley at 5.15pm on Saturday, April 20, but in the three previous seasons they have had away games in Dortmund, Madrid and Munich on Wednesday night, before cup semi-finals against Chelsea, Liverpool and Sheffield United the following Saturday. Guardiola's side were beaten by Chelsea and Liverpool but took advantage of a kinder draw to get past the Blades on the way to the Treble last season.
But the City boss is stunned at the decision to again force his team to play twice in four days at such a crucial juncture of the season.
