THE cousin of a murder victim has issued an emotional plea for help to identify his killers after weeks of investigations.
The body of Tanyaradzwa Julius Matera, 43, known to his family as Julius, was found on December 7 on the edge of playing fields.
But mystery still surrounds his death, and now his cousin, and next of kin in the UK, has asked the people of Salford for help.
June Matera described her cousin as "soft, always smiling, and quiet", although she admitted that he "liked to drink". But she added: "He wasn't violent, he wasn't boisterous. He was SO chilled, so calm."
She said that she believes his body may have lain for "some weeks" on the verge of sports fields in Broughton, Salford, before it was discovered by police when they raided a house in the city.
Two months after the body was discovered, the cause of death has still not been established.
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of Julius' murder but all have been released on bail.
