THE internal affairs department of Greater Manchester Police is investigating following claims a woman was 'chased' by an 'off-duty police officer and his girlfriend' into a car park for 'texting at the wheel.
Gwendoline Persse, 56, a grandmother from Heaton Chapel, Stockport, said she became lost as she drove to Manchester Road retail park in Hyde.
She says she was using Google Maps on her phone, which was mounted in a cradle, when she suddenly heard the sound of a horn and shouting coming from a car which pulled up alongside
her. A woman wound down the window and shouted 'open your f***ing window, Gwendoline, who has two daughters and two grandsons, claims.
