MARCUS Rashford revelled in creating two of ‘the biggest moments, the best moments’ in England’s World Cup victory over Wales as his brace secured a last-16 showdown with Senegal – and now he is hungry for more.

The United forward hit a stupendous free-kick and ended a mazy run by finishing through backup goalkeeper Danny Ward’s legs after City’s Phil Foden had doubled England’s lead in what proved to be a 3-0 stroll against their British rivals in Al Rayyan.

“Moments like this, this is what I play football for,” said Rashford.

“The biggest moments, the best moments. I’m really happy, I’m happy we’re going through to the next round.”

And Rashford revealed why he pointed to the sky after scoring.

“I lost one of my friends a couple of days ago,” he said.

“He had quite a long battle with cancer. I’m pleased I scored for him, he was a big supporter and good friend of mine. He was someone who came into my life.”

Now the Reds ace believes the win can give England momentum heading into the knockout stages.
