A SERIAL offender with a gambling addiction who has used 17 aliases is back behind bars after acting as the getaway driver in a Rolex watches heist.
The haul worth £51,000 was snatched from a jewellers.
Thirty-two-year-old Bagasan Graham also known as Johari Nasir Carter has a lengthy list of copycat crimes to his name, and has spent seven years of his adult life in jail.
Carlislie Crown Court was told that on June 14th 2022, Graham, from Rochdale, and a female accomplice first went to a tyre centre in Kendal where staff were duped into fitting false number plates to a Nissan Micra. The woman then entered the Banks Lyon jewellers in Market Place in the town, where she showed an interest in expensive watches and built up a rapport with staff. She left the store initially before making a return visit, asking the owner to see four Rolex timepieces.
