KENNIE Carter should have turned 19 this month. Just 16 when he was murdered, he should have been planning a holiday abroad with his mates, looking for a job or going to college.
Instead, all his family have are their memories of him. Kennie's story is yet another tragic tale, the human cost of knife crime.
Police bosses insist knife crime is decreasing across Greater Manchester, helped by the launch of a new dedicated opera tion in the wake of Kennie's death.
But as young men continue to die on our streets, the search for answers as to how this can be stopped will continue.
