A catastrophic collision on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on Friday morning resulted in the deaths of at least 11 people and sent 37 vehicles up in flames. The collision involved an LPG tanker and a truck, sparking a deadly blaze that consumed a large section of the busy highway, leaving numerous people with severe burns and injuries.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 am, when it was still dark. The LPG tanker collided with a truck, causing a massive gas leak from the damaged outlet nozzle. According to Dr Deepak Maheshwari, Principal of SMS Medical College,... the death toll currently stands at 11, with five victims brought dead to SMS hospital and five others succumbing to their injuries during treatment. A further casualty was reported from Jaipuria Hospital. Authorities indicated that the death toll could rise as more details emerge.
