She’s a single mother of one son, ten years old.
She is a recently retired Philadelphia City Councilwoman--where she served for seven years.
Prior to that, she served in the PA State House of Representatives for ten years; she was the youngest member of that body--at the time she was sworn in.
She’s been a former Philadelphia School Teacher. She was a trusted senior Aide in the office of now retired Philadelphia Marian B. Tasco. Tasco was the 9th District Councilwoman; prior to Cherelle Parker winning the seat.
Let it be known for anyone who doesn’t know it; Councilwoman Tasco was a critical mentor in Cherelle’s political and family life. Cherelle Parker was way more than a staff member to Tasco. Cherelle and Marian Tasco are family. Let it also be known that Cherelle Parker, following in the footsteps of her mentor Marian Tasco, became the leader of the Mighty Fiftieth Ward in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia.
Cherelle Parker, was reared by her grandparents; her mother passed away when she was eleven years old. Naysayers would predict that this young girl was going to be one of those people who didn’t amount to anything much in life. But guess what? The naysayers were proven wrong, time and time again, as God and her grandparents took her life in their hands. Parker excelled, again and again, as she has been lifted up in stature and prominence, all for the good of God and the people she serves.

Why did Joe Biden not keep his promise? His son still deserves justice
Just once. Just once, amid all the times that reporters asked President Joe Biden whether he would give a pardon to his son Hunter, who was facing a possible federal prison sentence, I wish I could have heard Jolly Joe give the sort of response that the late Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley offered to such unwelcome questions.
