Caring Kate, 41, was seen rubbing the arm of the Tunisian runner-up as she shared words of comfort on Centre Court, before presenting her with her trophy.
Jabeur, 28, then broke down in tears, joking in her on-court interview that she was "going to look ugly in the photos" after "the most painful loss" of her career.
Asked what Kate had said to her, she said: "Same thing as last year to encourage me to be strong, to come back and win a Grand Slam, win a Wimbledon.
