SUPREME COURT ISSUED NOTICE ON PLEAS FILED BY NTA TO TRANSFER PETITIONS FROM HIGH COURT TO SUPREME COURT

The Supreme Court in the case National Testing Agency Versus Durgesh Raj And Ors And Other Connected Matters observed and has issued notice wherein the petition is filed by the National Testing Agency, NTA with regards to the NEET-UG 2024 cases pending before the Rajasthan High Court.
SUPREME COURT ISSUED NOTICE ON PLEAS FILED BY NTA TO TRANSFER PETITIONS FROM HIGH COURT TO SUPREME COURT

In the present case, the batch of writ petitions are filed before the High Court challenging the NEET examination.

The National Testing Agency, NTA moved the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of the petitions to the already pending batch of matters before it.

The bench comprising of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra in the case agreed to issue notice in the transfer petitions and tag them with the lead case Vanishika Yadav v. UOI which relates to the ongoing NEETUG controversy.

The counsel, Advocate Vardhaman Kaushik appearing for the National Testing Agency, NTA also requested the Court to stay the proceedings before the High Court.
