Ahd flyers opt for connecting flights to save on int'l airfare
The Free Press Journal - Bhopal|December 21, 2024
Travelers from Ahmedabad increasingly prefer connecting flights through Mumbai or Delhi to save on international airfare, as direct flights from Ahmedabad remain significantly costlier.
FPJ NEWS SERVICE

This trend is driven by fare differences of up to 30%, making connecting flights an attractive option for budget-conscious flyers.

High Costs of Direct Flights Direct international flights from Ahmedabad often come with steep price tags, deterring passengers. For example, a direct flight from Ahmedabad to Toronto costs ₹83,780, including taxes. In comparison, booking a connecting flight through Mumbai or Delhi drastically reduces costs.

Flying from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and then from Mumbai to Toronto can cost as little as ₹50,000, saving travelers over ₹30,000. Similarly, opting for a connecting flight via Delhi reduces the total fare to ₹67,360, still significantly cheaper than the direct option.
