'Speed up Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam drive'

Commissioner Krishna Gopal Tiwari has directed the officials of the higher education department, silk department, Women and Child Development Department and school education department to speed up the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.

Forty-eight hours have passed since a tube well caught fire in farmland at Jaitpur village under Kishangarh police station, but it could not be extinguished.

The incident that occurred in the farmland of Khushhal Patel sparked panic among people in the area.

When Patel was contacted, he said that the tube well installed ten years ago was being continuously operated.

He said it was not known whether some gas might come out of the pump and cause a fire. He came to know of it only when there was a spark in the pump. A complaint was lodged at the police station. A police team came, inquired about the case and went away, he said.
