Gujarat government announced the formation of Vav-Tharad as the 34th district in the state. However, the announcement has not gone down well among the local communities, especially the traders. It was on Thursday that the traders and small retailers in Sihori in Kankrej taluka of the newly formed Vav-Tharad district started the protest by keeping their shops shut.
