2024 Ends on a New High Note for City Office Leasing

The office market in Mumbai and other major cities has touched a new peak in 2024, with collective leasing activity hitting 66.4 million square feet, marking a 14% year-on-year (YoY) growth, according to a report by real estate consultant Colliers.

With total leasing space standing at 10 million sq ft, Mumbai witnessed double-digit growth, while seeing the highest quarter-on-quarter growth at 71% along with Hyderabad (41%).

The technology sector continued to lead overall demand, while engineering, manufacturing and BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sectors also showed strong presence.
