The Kala Ghoda revamp is moving expeditiously so that phase 1 gets completed before the Kala Ghoda festival on January 25. As part of the beautification project, the BMC is renovating five lanes in the heritage precinct at the cost of Rs90 lakh. Currently, work is underway on V B Gandhi Marg (Forbes Street) and Rutherfield Street. The other lanes that will be transformed include Rope Walk Lane, Saibaba Road and B Bharucha Road.
