Fiery debate in AP Legislative Council over Rushikonda

The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council witnessed a heated debate on Tuesday over the controversial Rushikonda buildings.

Members of the ruling and opposition parties clashed over allegations of misuse of funds, irregularities in construction, and the purpose of the structures.

The issue was raised by MLC Duvvarapu Ramarao, who sought clarification on the government's plans for the buildings. Responding to the question raised, Minister Kandula Durgesh revealed discrepancies in the Rushikonda project. He alleged that while permissions were granted for constructing 58 rooms under the guise of green resorts, only seven rooms were built, and the rest was turned into a lavish palace. "This is a blatant misuse of public resources," he claimed.
