Fog engulfs North India, temperatures plummet

IMD predicts a gradual fall in temperatures across parts of northwest and central India; HP experiences zero degree Celsius

A thick blanket of fog descended upon many regions of northwest India on Sunday, significantly impacting visibility. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported fog layers over several states, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan.

Dense fog enveloped Chandigarh, while Srinagar experienced snowfall. In Rajasthan, Mount Abu witnessed the formation of ice as temperatures dipped below freezing.

Delhi also experienced a thin layer of fog, with the minimum temperature recorded at 12 degrees Celsius. Visibility was severely affected in Jaipur due to dense fog, and even Mumbai experienced a thin layer of fog.
