The Mahavir Gharsansar Super Shoppe in the Chelipura area caught fire on Sunday midnight. The fire was so massive that the fire continued till Monday afternoon. Smoke was coming from the debris till Monday evening. In all, 12 fire tenders of the fire brigade used 35 tankers of water to extinguish the fire. Huge losses to the tune of more than around Rs40 crore have been estimated in the preliminary findings. The reason for the fire is said to be a short circuit. The City Chowk Police conducted the panchnama of the fire incident.
