Man Who Killed Wife and Son, Attempts Suicide Again

Smit Jiyani, accused of killing his wife and four-year-old son and injuring his parents in a gruesome attack on December 27, attempted suicide again while undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Jiyani tried to slit his throat with a shard of glass, intensifying the tragic circumstances surrounding the case.

The horrific series of events began in Surat's Sarthana area in the early hours of December 27, when Jiyani attacked his wife and son with a kitchen knife, resulting in their deaths. He then turned the weapon on his parents, seriously injuring them. Following these attacks, Jiyani attempted to harm himself but was stopped and admitted to a private hospital along with his injured parents.
