Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) was a "commercial", "not a professional exam" as he claimed students he met said it was "designed to create a quota for the rich people".
Finally getting to speak on the issue during the motion of thanks to the president's address, Gandhi attacked the government for the alleged irregularities in the conduct of NEET undergraduation exam this year. He claimed there have been 70 paper leaks in seven years but the government was still reluctant to allow a discussion.
