TAKE STRINGENT ACTION AGAINST ERRING MILLERS, TRADERS: CM

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officers concerned to take stringent action against those trying to buy Paddy from farmers at lower rates. He said the government would not spare anyone who is cheating the farmers including the Millers. He also instructed the officials to cancel the licenses of the millers who are buying Paddy at cheap prices and also traders in the market yards.

He also wanted immediate stoppage of custom milling and black list the millers. The CM held a review meeting on procurement of paddy and drinking water along with Civil supplies Minister Uttamkumar Reddy, Information minister P Srinivas Reddy.

The CM urged the farmers to dry their Paddy before getting it to the market yards as the millers and traders are offering less price citing more moisture percentage in Paddy. He also instructed the officials to create Paddy drying places in the market yards. He also asked them to install CC Cameras to ensure safety of Paddy stored in the market yards.
