India women's cricket team will be looking to break the deadlock in the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup and lift the trophy. The World No 3 T20I ranked side behind Australia and England is yet to win any ICC event despite having a few close shaves across formats.
Former India captain and cricket administrator Diana Edulji felt that now is the time to bring the Cup home.
"We have the players, the required experience, and exposure. The pinnacle will be to lift the T20 or ODI World Cup, that should be the aim of every Indian player," she said.
Edulji with other former players and administrators was part of the ICC T20 Women's World Cup Trophy Tour, an event celebrating rising prominence of women's cricket at Wankhede Stadium on Friday.
