If the Modi government finds a solution to the Maratha reservation in Parliament by increasing the 50 per cent cap on reservation, all my MPs will support it, Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray declared on Tuesday.
"The Lok Sabha has the authority to remove the present cap and accommodate reservation for Marathas. Agitators should meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demand reservation," Thackeray told Maratha activists. His remarks came after a group of activists, believed to have allegiance to the Maratha Kranti Morcha staged demonstrations near his residence Matoshree.
