More than 900 pages of papers were unsealed late on Wednesday, identifying numerous Epstein associates and public figures as mentioned in proceedings of the case Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre filed against Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015.
The British socialite was convicted in 2021 of sex trafficking and similar charges for procuring teenage girls for the disgraced financier Epstein.
The website hosting the court documents crashed within minutes amid the online frenzy to see who would be named. The majority of those named are not accused of wrongdoing and have been mentioned previously in legal proceedings or news accounts.
Inclusion on the list does not mean that said associate has been accused of wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
In a deposition, Maxwell appears to say that Andrew visited Epstein's island in the US Virgin Islands.
Epstein has been accused of abusing numerous girls on the island.
"Were you present on the island when Prince Andrew visited?" Maxwell was asked. She responded in the affirmative and, when asked how many times, she said: "I can only remember once."
When asked if there were any girls on the island at that time, Maxwell insisted: "There were no girls on the island at all. No girls, no women, other than the staff who work at the house."
One deposition is given by Johanna Sjoberg, whom Maxwell allegedly procured for the purpose of performing sex acts on Epstein. Sjoberg said in her deposition that Epstein "said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls".
