City school is named one of best in the UK

EVONPORT High School for Girls is one of the best schools in Plymouth, ranking in the top 10 across the South West.

DHSG ranked eighth in the South West and 111th overall across the UK. The ratings have been given out by The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide.

The rankings claim to show the best places in the country to receive an education. The fully searchable national database of over 1,000 schools, by name, local authority, town and postcode, is now available.

Plymouth College did not rank in the best private schools across the South West, but almost sneaks into the top 240 UK schools, rising 97 places to 253.

Other schools across Devon also had success. Kingsbridge Community College has been named as Secondary School of the Year in the South West, while Colyton Grammar School has been named the 13th best school in the UK.
