EXCITEMENT was in the air at a Saltash primary school last week after well-known Plymouth street dancer Toby Gorniak made a special visit.
Toby, who set up Street Factory charity and company dance school over 18 years ago with his wife Jo, has been supporting youngsters for years, via access to hip-hop dance sessions, mentoring, clothing and even food and transport.
Their work during the Covid pandemic lockdowns led to them being nominated for the hugely prestigious Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Award in the Lockdown Heroes category. Mr Gorniak was awarded an MBE in 2018.
