THE leader of Plymouth City Council has said he fears that additional Government funding for social care could be nothing more than a “sticking plaster” instead of a long-term solution.
Last week, the Government announced that councils across England would receive a £600 million support package, in addition to funding outlined in a provisional settlement, to help them deliver key services.
