A ‘LOVING’ husband and father-of-two tragically lost his life after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car just outside a school in Tavistock.
Thirty-two-year-old Daryl Bramble, a married marine engineer who lived in Plympton, had set off on October 22, 2021, for a bike ride with a friend.
Details from an inquest at Exeter Coroner’s Court on Tuesday indicate their route was intended to include a lunch stop in Okehampton. However, during their journey on the A386, between Tavistock and Okehampton, Mr Bramble was involved in a crash with a German-registered Volkswagen vehicle executing a right turn into Mount Kelly, the independent school located on Parkwood Road.
The inquest heard it was not possible to confirm where both vehicles were in relation to each other before the crash. An extensive police collision investigation concluded that it was down to ‘human factors’ and the speed of the bike ‘may have had some contributory factor’.
