NEW YEAR'S PARTY IS LAST NIGHT FOR PRYZM

Final party to farewell nightclub

PLYMOUTH’S largest nightclub is to go out in style with a huge closing night party.

The Pryzm club, at Barbican Leisure Park, will shut permanently after staging a New Year’s Eve bash.

Danish company Rekom, which owns the 2,400 capacity nightspot, is pulling the plug after suffering difficult trading conditions and a dropoff in student spending. It will go out with a bang on Sunday, December 31, and said tickets are already selling fast for the farewell knees-up.

Bosses said Pryzm merchandise and mementos will be up for grabs on the night, so clubbers are advised to get in quick. Guests can also expect confetti blasts, pyrotechnics, champagne sprays, inflatables, giveaways and a main room makeover.
