A PLYMOUTH hair salon which closed suddenly leaving long-standing clients “gutted” and “devastated” has now gone bust with unpaid debts of more than £50,000. The Cutting Garden, in Mayflower Street, announced at the end of May that it had done its final cut and blow dry.
And now BCR (Plymouth) Ltd, the company which traded as the Cutting Garden, has this week appointed liquidators and is being wound up voluntarily, leaving money owed to staff and its former owners. Assets worth just £1,000 are estimated to be realised but the company has debts of nearly £52,000 and it is estimated creditors will therefore be short of nearly £51,000.
